One of the best investments I've made
I do not, generally, make candles for sale; however, I do make a LOT of them. Buying this melter was a luxury that I haven't regretted for one moment. After using a melter with a spigot, I would never again want to use a double boiler or anything requiring a ladle. I fill this to heaping with soy wax flakes, turn the heat to a low setting, and then go about prepping my jars and setting up my scents. When I'm ready to pour, I measure out wax into a new large deli container (I buy stacks at a food service store), weigh it, and then measure in my weighed scent.
Just make sure you have the spigot in the OFF position before you start melting. It's a mistake you'll not likely make more than once.
