Coconut Activated Charcoal is made from coconut shells through carbonization and steam activation. It is thought to detoxify the body, and is commonly used in cold process soap and bath products. The coconut activated charcoal is pH neutral and will not impact the pH of any of your products. Due to the different processing of this product it is considered a higher and more pure grade. Some people call it "the good stuff" but we think both are good depending on your price point and application.

|
| Christina from Lincoln Used in Soap - Cold Process |
Good but less fine than other charcoals This activated charcoal is much less fine than the other activated charcoals I have used. This can be a great thing, as it adds a very fine scrubbiness to soaps, is less of a mess when using it and can make a good face or body scrub etc, but it can also be a bad thing if you did not realize it when you buy it. I found that I did not like using it for coloring my soaps- they turned out lighter and I did not always want the grittiness. |

Extremely Easy To Use This stuff is very fine grain and no clumps, this makes it extremely easy to use. It's well packaged, there's enough "air space" in the top of the jar to allow you to dip your measuring spoon in without making a mess. The AC itself is a great colorant for bath bombs and cold process soap to get a good true black. |

| Jonetta R from Randolph Used in Soap - Melt & Pour |
Good buy I used this in my Australian Tea Tree soap base from Crafter's Choice and can't complain. My family members liked it, I think I need to pour it in not as early, it colored the soap a nice charcoal color but the bars were very gritty at the bottom. However it is gentle on the skin and exfoliating |
|

Perfect! The powder is so incredibly fine, and it works beautifully in my dry mask, as well as my facewash. It's by far the best activated charcoal I have ever come across. And I LOVE that it's Ph balanced. My customers will too I think. :) |

|
| Patricia A. from Belton Used in Soap - Cold Process |
Coconut is the best After doing some research, I found that the Coconut activated charcoal is the best (rather than wood charcoal). Charcoal is used for filtering, stain removal, and removing odors / bacteria from places. Recently I started using a mixture of Kaolin Clay, Coconut Activated Charcoal, and a small amount of Peppermint Essential Oil (added by pipette) just for flavor for "tooth paste". I wet my toothbrush and dip my toothbrush in a small container of my concoction, and brush normally. I saw my dentist a few days ago and was asked what I was using as there was not my usual plaque build-up. I told her and she said, many of the natural products work best. Check with you dentist first, but it has worked well for me, and will soon be trying a small amount on CP Soap. Psst, a little goes a long ways! |
