A Rich Fragrance with a Non-Resinous Liquor Bent
Yep, this dupe performed well in 464 wax at 12% concentration. I needed a good liquor type of fragrance for my Banana Hammock candle scent, and I tried a bunch of rums. Then I tried whiskey scents and found them all too resinous or nauseating. None of them cut it in the scent appeal department. So I considered bourbon; why not? Everyone seems to be on the teakwood bus lately, and well, this one has a strong teakwood note. I was worried it wouldn't play well with the banana scent I chose, but it indeed worked very nicely. The sea salt note adds a nice finish. This is a popular dupe, and I found it to be useful in my blend. SS gave us a nice rendition with this, and I imagine this will be popular with the BBW crowd. I'd recommend blending it so that you have something BBW does not--I've been preaching the for a long time. But hey, life is full of choices.
