As it turns out, this is an accurate duplication of Drakkar cologne. Many of us may have been traumatized by the 80's, but at least we squeezed Drakkar out of the decade. This is a classic mens cologne that is different in that it is not woodsy, in the traditional "pine" kind of way. Rather it is a clean fragrance with grounding base notes of leather, cedar, patchouli, vetiver, oakmoss and sandalwood--all the "guy smells." The top notes are: florals like carnation and verbena, herbals like lavender, basil, and rosemary, and subtle citrus notes. The collage is a complex and clean scent. If the color black were a fragrance, it would be Drakkar. This scent threw well for me. I blended it with a toasted marshmallow as well, and it also threw well once the wax pooled. You could do a lot with this one, and it is indeed a solid representation of Drakkar. The scent throw traveled into adjacent rooms. I use 12% in 464 wax, and I double wick in a 4" jar with CD 14 wicks, for reference.
